Tuition and Schedule

Below you will find basic info about our tuition rates and classes.  For more detailed information, please see the

Studio Policies Page.

 
Tuition Rates

Tuition is paid monthly.  Our tuition rates for regular classes (not adults) for 2011-2012 are as follows:
 1 weekly class: $55/month
 2 weekly classes: $90/month
 3 weekly classes: $130/month
 4 weekly classes: $150/month
 5 weekly classes: $170/month
 6 weekly classes: $190/month
 7 or more weekly classes: $200/month

Example: A student who is enrolled in Hip Hop 2 will attend four classes during a month, and the student’s tuition will be $55 for the entire month.


Private Lessons
Rhythms also offers private lessons when it works out with our schedule.  Private lessons are $30/half hour and Semi-Private lessons are $40/half hour (total, not per person).  Please call the studio if you are interested in scheduling a private lesson.

Discounts
Family Discount: Families who have more than one student enrolled at Rhythms (including adults) will receive 10% off their total tuition.

New Student Discount: Students who are brand new to Rhythms Dance Center will receive their first month of tuition free.  (Does not apply to adults)

Bring-A-Friend Discount: We encourage our Rhythms students to refer their friends to the studio.  If your friend decides to register for classes, you receive 50% off your next month’s tuition.  (Does not apply to adults)

Classes Listed by Style

Mini Tap/Ballet: these hour long combo classes are for ages 3-1/2 to 7 focus on the classic styles of tap and ballet. Each class will include a warm-up, approximately 20 minutes of each style, and a short break to read a book, play a game, or do another dance activity. Students will learn all the basics from shuffles to sautes.
Mini Jazz/Hip Hop: these 45 minute classes are exclusively for dancers age 5-7; these classes combine the styles of jazz and hip hop, giving dancers a great head start for future classes while having lots of fun. They will learn moves like grapevines, chasses, kick ball changes and jazz walks.
Jazz: a fun kind of dance that ranges from the works on Bob Fosse to current music videos; there will be lots of fun music and a great variety of steps; a great style for beginners to try.

Tap: learn the moves of Fred Astaire, Gene Kelly, and Savion Glover; improves a dancer's sense of rhythm and counting; impress your friends with very noisy feet!

Hip Hop: this style became popular in the 90's and has transformed into an interesting art form; dancers can use their moves from hip hop to get in the spotlight at school dances and weddings, too.

Ballet: a classic form of dance that is both elegant and disciplined; dancers will find that taking ballet will improve their skills in all of the other dance forms.

Lyrical:  this beautiful genre of dance combines both jazz and ballet with them main motive being self-expression and dancing with emotion; dancing lyrical is a great way to relieve stress and get out inner frustration while creating something that others can enjoy watching.

Character: this is the perfect kind of dance for those students who are interested in musical theatre; it focuses on the performance skills as well as acting while dancing; most combinations will stem from a jazz style.

Pointe:  Pointe is a continuation of ballet in which the dancers performs on the tops of her toes.  This class is reserved for our most advanced dancers.

Pom: Pom classes teach pom-style dancing.  Using a jazz base, we use pompons as props and do cheer tricks such as toe touches and hurkies.
Teen Levels:  Our teen classes are perfect for high school students who are just beginning their dance education or who are returning to dance after some time off.  Many of the teen students take the classes as a hobby while some are hoping to improve dance skills for musicals, cheerleading, or other activities.
